Question: Trains to Arena di Verona

Hello

I am planning to stay in Desenzano in June, and to go to the opera in Verona one evening. Is it possible to return to Desenzano by train after the opera has finished? How late do the trains run?

Dear Liz!

The last train leaves around ten o´clock so you can´t take the train back.

I went last summer in a mini shuttle (7 people) privat company which drove us from Desenzano to Verona and waited for us. That service costs about 150 euros. It was very nice and worry free night:)

However there are opera-bustours from Desenzano to Verona which costs about 30 euros pr. Person (55 with ticket to the opera) Desenzano-Arena di Verona - Desenzano and you can book it here in the Desenzano center without problem. (you can not take the bus only one way)

The third option is to use those 30-150 euros for an hotel-overnight in Verona.

I have not checked how much a taxi would charge. It is 45 km so I don´t think it will be cheap.
