Easter Game in Tremosine - Lake Garda

Many events are organized each year in Tremosine. The S-ciapi festival takes place every year on Easter Sunday. The word “S-ciapì” comes from the local dialect and refers to an old traditional Easter egg game. The eggs are decorated with natural colours made from herbal infusions. Everyone takes a hard-boiled egg in his hand and tries to hit and break the top of the opponent egg. The player, whose egg remains undamaged, wins and looks for another opponent. Competition winner is the one whose egg remains unbeaten up to the last.

The Program

The „Festa dello S-ciapì” will start on 24 April at 9.30 a.m until about 11 a.m. e The real competition starts in the afternoon at 3 p.m.

The festival offers a colourful, warm atmosphere, live folk music and delightful food and wine, which include home-made cakes and sweets.
