This first week of april is colder than last year. The next 3-4 days are not very cosy, down below 15°C and rain:( Long term weather report looks good though. More weather information later.

Regarding sailing on Lake Garda I just heard this. It is not allowed to sail via privat motorboat from Desenzano to Riva del Garda. The Lake is closed in the north for all motor boat traffic exept the ferry. It is however OK to sail north via sailboat. Attn: It is allowed to sail the majority of Lake Garda on a motorboat, just not to the north where the lake gets very narrow. Where exactly the line is, I am not sure, I´ll post it here when I find out. (Lake Garda Map) It is a pollution thing.

March 30th 2008 - Today the summer arrived! (Well the spring anyway). 18° and sunny, birds are singing and the weather report says that it will only be getting better. It will be 23°on Wednesday so it looks as the good weather is here to stay for now.
We have had a number of good days but the cold foggy days always came again. It is a bit like starting up an old diesel engine. But it seems that it has started now. Summer Daylight time started today and the weather got better at the same time.
I am working on my plants on my balcony and getting it ready for summer. My balcony is a whole new room in my apartment during the summer. Last summer I had almost all of my dinners an lunches there. A roomy 17 squere meter balcony (2.5m x 7) with a view over the swimming pool that comes with the apartment.
Going for a bike ride. I will write some new blog here soon. |

March 30th 2008 - I have decided to start a news blog here where I write short and timely information on the Lake Garda area here in Italy. I hope this will add to the life of the website and make your visit to the website here more interesting. |
