Regarding sailing on Lake Garda I just heard this. It is not allowed to sail via privat motorboat from Desenzano to Riva del Garda. The Lake is closed in the north for all motor boat traffic exept the ferry. It is however OK to sail north via sailboat. Attn: It is allowed to sail the majority of Lake Garda on a motorboat, just not to the north where the lake gets very narrow. Where exactly the line is, I am not sure, IŽll post it here when I find out. (Lake Garda Map) It is a pollution thing.
