Please could you give me information about this market. Is it big, price ranges, what days of week,how long does it last for etc. Is it far from Malcesine?Many thanks, TONY.
The Answer
The market in Desenzano del Garda is on every Tuesday morning. It starts early in the morning and stays until noon. Sometimes a bit later 13:00. The market is held in the main street by the lake and all traffic is off for that time. It is fair in size and you have many many categories of product here clothes, shoes, kitchen stuff, toys, flowers, food such as cheese and fresh vegetable etc. Regarding prices you can do some good deals on the market, but here as everywhere they are trying to make money and everything is not cheap. Some times you are better of going to the shopping mall and browse through the discount stores but when that time is is the difficult one;) I have bought from this market things such as a caps, shoes, scarfs and then the food.View Larger Map
The Distance from Malcesine is about 70 km from Malcecine. That is a bit long but we do get a lot of Germans that drive over the alps taking a late "Sunday drive" on a Tuesday, go to the market and then spend the day at the Lake Garda.
